BORGI | BASTORMAGI is a collaboration between Nada Borgi and Etienne Bastormagi, practicing architects and urbanists.
They are particularly interested in cities, and how their transformation is constantly shaping people lives. Their design, takes its inspiration and creative drive from their childhood memories as well as their traditions, combining it with contemporary needs and means of making.
This design thinking provides a platform for their craft oriented furniture with a conceptual approach that offers different stories to the products.
Their products hold an urban dimension, while having the user as the main focus. Their creations aim to question the relation of the body and the space, suggest different behavioral patterns and offer experiences and relationships that defeat gravity and equilibrium.
Their work includes [me]rror, an installation for Milan Design Week 2017 and foll[i], an exploration of vertical gardens within one’s personal space. BORGI | BASTORMAGI’s BDF special is an expansion of the foll[i]s family balancing purity of forms and versatility of uses.
